Scorpio Season – The Depth of Shadows and the Fire Beneath Water
Scorpio (Sun in Scorpio): October 23 – November 2, the Sun slips into Scorpio, the air thickens with memory. The veils grow thin, and the surface of things begins to tremble with hidden fire. Autumn has deepened; what once blazed in color now smolders underground. Scorpio governs this sacred descent—the art of dying to what was so that life might be reborn. It is not a gentle passage. It is a baptism in truth.
In the oldest myths, the Scorpion guards the threshold between worlds. It is said that when Orion, the great hunter, boasted he could conquer any creature on Earth, a single scorpion rose from the sand to humble him. Their struggle was immortalized among the stars—one rising as the other falls. Thus, Scorpio became the keeper of cycles: death and renewal, pride and surrender, passion and stillness.
Ruled by both Mars and Pluto, Scorpio carries the rare fusion of fire beneath water—will and transformation united in silence. It teaches that endings are not destruction but initiation. Beneath every shedding is a truth the soul cannot ignore. When Scorpio’s influence gathers, secrets surface, emotions intensify, and clarity burns away pretense. What is false will not survive the depth.
Those born under this sign, or touched by its season, are drawn to mysteries others avoid. They move through loss, desire, and shadow like divers of the unseen, finding treasure where others see only darkness. In Scorpio’s mirror, vulnerability becomes strength, and silence becomes power. It is the season of truth serum, of psychic renewal, of ritual cleansing through fire and tears alike.
The stars echo the same lesson in 2025. Mars’s slow burn through Cancer stirs ancient waters, asking that emotion be wielded as courage rather than fear. Pluto’s long transition out of Capricorn continues the dismantling of hollow systems, both personal and collective. These skies whisper that rebirth demands release—that power without healing corrodes from within. Scorpio insists: purge what poisons you, and rise unburdened.
Every Scorpio season carries a quiet alchemy. We are asked to honor what ends, to bless what must decay, and to remember that the soil of death is the seedbed of transformation. This is the witch’s time of year—the hour when candlelight reveals more than daylight ever could. If Libra taught balance, Scorpio teaches surrender. Let what is true burn bright, and let what is false fall to ash.
