About the Author
My name is Cassandra Blackthorn. I’ve spent most of my life following the quiet pull of things others couldn’t always see—symbols in old books, the power in herbs, the strange way history and myth sometimes blur together.
I didn’t come to the occult through one single path. It’s been a mix of study, instinct, and experience. Some of it came from books. Some of it came from trial and error. A lot of it came from listening—to stories, to the land, to the things that speak when it’s quiet.
This blog is where I share what I’ve learned, what I’m still learning, and what I’m drawn to. I’m not here to claim answers—I’m here to explore, to remember, and to honor the roots of the magical and the mystical.
Outside of writing, I spend time with herbs, old texts, music, and the kind of stillness that teaches you something if you let it. I’m most at home in quiet places: walking in the woods, listening to birdsong, sitting beside animals who don’t need words to understand you. My world is stitched together with pawprints, wildflowers, and the changing light.
I believe in keeping old wisdom alive—not in a pedestal sort of way, but in a way that keeps it breathing.
If you’ve ever felt like there’s more to this world than what’s on the surface, you’re in the right place.
